The Mindray BC-20s writes its results into your order
The BC-20s behaves as a server: the bridge is the one that connects to it, not the other way around. It lives on its own isolated network and the bridge reaches it through a second network card in the PC.
How it connects

Cable the instrument
A network cable from the BC-20s to a switch, or straight into the bridge PC, on the 10.0.0.x segment. It is best to keep that LAN isolated from the office network.

Turn off histogram transmission as a bitmap
In the instrument’s menu: “Histograma transmit Como” → “No se transmitirá” — those are the instrument’s own labels, in Spanish, and they mean histogram transmit as → will not be transmitted. This is the setting that prevents the blue screen and the “an error was detected” message when it communicates. It is problem number one on this model.

Register the instrument in the panel
Devices → add, with HL7-over-TCP transport and the instrument’s address. The bridge picks it up in under a minute, with nothing to reinstall.

Enter the order number (folio) on the instrument
Scan the order’s label with the BC-20s reader — the most error-proof route — or type the folio in. That is all it takes for the result to land in its own order by itself.

If something does not work
And if the result arrives but does not land in the order
It goes to the unassigned-results tray, under Devices. From there you send it to the right order in two clicks. That case is almost always the folio not being entered on the instrument, or typed in differently — which is why scanning the label beats typing it.
What happens to the rest of the laboratory
Tests that do not come off this instrument are entered the way they always were, by hand, in the worklist. Connecting one analyzer does not commit you to connecting them all: every instrument you add takes work away, and the ones that are not supported do not get in the way.
